Academics are recruiting a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a specialist education setting near Farnham. Working as part of a supportive and experienced team, you will provide tailored support to students with a range of additional needs, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, communication difficulties and associated behaviours. Every day is different, and you'll play a vital role in helping students build confidence, develop independence and achieve both academically and personally.

• Full-time position in Farnham, Monday to Friday (8:30am - 4:30pm)

• Supporting students on a 1:1 basis and in small groups

• Encouraging positive behaviour and emotional regulation

• Helping deliver engaging and personalised learning activities

• Building strong relationships with pupils, staff and families

• Creating a safe, supportive and inclusive learning environment

• Psychology, Criminology or Education graduates looking to gain practical experience
\n
• Individuals considering careers in Educational Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Speech & Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Teaching or SEN
\n
• Experience working with children or vulnerable young people is desirable but not essential
\n
• Patient, resilient and empathetic individuals with excellent communication skills
\n
• A positive attitude and genuine passion for supporting young people with additional needs

• Able to commute to Farnham
