\nAcademics are recruiting a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a specialist education setting near Farnham. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a genuine difference in the lives of young people while developing the skills and experience needed for a rewarding career in education or related professions.
\nWorking as part of a supportive and experienced team, you will provide tailored support to students with a range of additional needs, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, communication difficulties and associated behaviours. Every day is different, and you'll play a vital role in helping students build confidence, develop independence and achieve both academically and personally.
The Role\n- \n
- Full-time position in Farnham, Monday to Friday (8:30am - 4:30pm) \n
- Supporting students on a 1:1 basis and in small groups \n
- Encouraging positive behaviour and emotional regulation \n
- Helping deliver engaging and personalised learning activities \n
- Building strong relationships with pupils, staff and families \n
- Creating a safe, supportive and inclusive learning environment \n

- Psychology, Criminology or Education graduates looking to gain practical experience \n
- Individuals considering careers in Educational Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Speech & Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Teaching or SEN \n
- Experience working with children or vulnerable young people is desirable but not essential \n
- Patient, resilient and empathetic individuals with excellent communication skills \n
- A positive attitude and genuine passion for supporting young people with additional needs \n
- Able to commute to Farnham \n
