Business Analyst - Outside IR35 - (Hybrid)

SDL Solutions Limited is seeking a Business Analyst for an initial 12-month contract who can turn complex product ideas into clear, actionable software requirements.

You’ll own the Azure DevOps backlog, ensure seamless traceability to Polarion, and help the team deliver value-driven software features — from embedded systems to automation platforms.

What You’ll Do

• Build and maintain a structured software backlog in Azure DevOps.
\n
• Translate product vision and legacy requirements into Features and User Stories.
\n
• Define clear acceptance criteria and capture non-functional requirements.
\n
• Create and document traceability between Azure DevOps and Polarion.
\n
• Collaborate with Product Owners and Scrum Masters to refine and plan work.
\n
• Analyze URS and legacy materials to guide feature definition.
\n

What You’ll Bring

\n
• At least 6+ years’ experience as a Business Analyst in software development.
\n
• Strong skills in Azure DevOps backlog management.
\n
• Familiarity with or quick learning ability in Polarion.
\n
• Proven ability to write clear, implementation-agnostic requirements.
\n
• Excellent written English and attention to detail.
\n
• Self-starter mindset — organized, analytical, and independent.
\n

Nice to Have

\n
• Experience in embedded systems, industrial automation, or OPC UA.
\n
• Understanding of regulated software traceability (e.g., GxP, GAMP).
\n
• Tools: Azure DevOps (primary), Polarion (secondary)
\n
