Job Description

LAW Absolute are working with a local authority based in East Anglia who are currently seeking an experienced SEND Lawyer for an initial 3-month locum assignment, with a strong likelihood of extension.

This is an excellent opportunity for a local government lawyer who can join the team and hit the ground running from day one.

  • Full-time assignment
    • \n
  • Remote working, with attendance in the office once per month for team meetings
    • \n
  • Remote advocacy at court hearings required, except for final hearings
    • \n
  • Initial 3-month contract, with the potential for extension
    • \n

Applicants must:

\n
    \n
  • Have substantial experience handling the full range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) matters
    • \n
  • Be capable of managing a full and varied SEND caseload independently
    • \n
  • Provide legal advice across all areas of SEND work, including Tribunal matters
    • \n
  • Be confident undertaking advocacy at remote hearings
    • \n
  • Require minimal supervision and be able to integrate quickly into an established team
    • \n

We are keen to hear from qualified Solicitors, Barristers or Fellow Legal Executives with a strong SEND background within local government or the public sector.
