\nWe have an immediate vacancy for a Deputy Manager in Darlaston Walsall
\nThis is a permanent role for someone who has experience managing and supervising to join our 4 bed home in Darlaston Area Walsall
\nYou will be Supporting 8-18s with SEMH and complex needs , helping to overcome their daily challenges to empower them to live a life they love.
\nThere will be excellent progression opportunities if required.
\nDeputy Manager Salary and Benefits
\nSalary
\n£50,000 to £55,000 per annum depending on experience qualifications and availabiity.
\n• Additional overtime and sleep-in enhancements on offer.
\n• Ongoing training and development including the opportunity to complete the Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare.

\nDeputy Manager Key Responsibilities:

- Assist and support the Registered Manager in all aspects of the residential care of the Ofsted registered home, to provide a high quality service which meets the individual needs of the children and young people and to help create and maintain a non-institutionalised, child centred safe community home for extremely vulnerable children with EBD complex needs and behaviour difficulties. \n
- Take on on-call duties outside of working hours in support of the home dealing with situations in line with children’s homes regulations and company procedures \n
- Support staff on a day to day basis promoting good practice and responding to concerns or first line complaints. \n
- Take part in the assessment process of potential new admissions to the home. \n
- Oversee record keeping and take part in the regular auditing of the children and young people’s records, responding to any issues requiring further action, including those identified at reviews. \n
- Manage and provide supervision for designated support workers and night waking support worker \n
Deputy Manager Requirements
\n• Recent experience working either as a Children’s Home Deputy Manager or as a Senior Children’s Residential Support Worker in a Children’s Home supporting SEMH and challenging behaviour. With at least 2 years supervisory experience
\n• Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare (or equivalent qualification).(Hold a Level 4 or 5 in Children & Education also preferred)
\n• Full UK Driving Licence.
\nYou will be required to be flexible in your hours supporting the children the staff and the Manager
