Take the Lead in a Growing Employers' & Public Liability Team

Harkaye Core Talent is proud to be partnering with an ambitious and expanding claimant law firm to recruit an experienced Senior EL/PL Fee Earner.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing personal injury practice where you'll play a key role in shaping and developing the Employers' Liability and Public Liability offering. Working alongside experienced legal leaders, you'll manage a high-quality caseload while helping to mentor junior colleagues and contribute to the continued growth of the department.

The Opportunity

You'll be responsible for managing a varied caseload of litigated and pre-litigated Employers' Liability and Public Liability matters, including:

• Fast Track claims.
\n
• Complex MOJ Portal matters.
\n
• Non-Portal EL/PL claims.
\n
• Part 7 and Part 8 litigation through to Trial.
\n

This is a hands-on fee-earning role with genuine opportunities to influence team development, provide technical guidance and help shape best practice within the department.

Key Responsibilities

\n
• Manage a varied caseload of EL/PL files from inception through to settlement or Trial.
\n
• Handle litigated matters including Part 7 and Part 8 proceedings.
\n
• Draft witness statements, court applications and instructions to Counsel.
\n
• Prepare Trial bundles and ensure compliance with Court directions.
\n
• Accurately value claims for both general and special damages.
\n
• Identify litigation opportunities and develop the best strategy for each case.
\n
• Deliver exceptional client care throughout the lifecycle of every claim.
\n
• Support and mentor junior members of the team.
\n
• Provide technical guidance and assist with case vetting where required.
\n
• Work collaboratively to support the continued growth and success of the department.
\n

About You

We're looking for someone who can demonstrate:

• A minimum of two years' experience handling litigated EL/PL personal injury claims.
\n
• Strong experience managing MOJ Portal and Non-Portal claims.
\n
• Excellent technical knowledge of Employers' Liability and Public Liability litigation.
\n
• Confidence handling disputed liability and quantum matters.
\n
• Exceptional organisational and file management skills.
\n
• Strong negotiation and advocacy abilities.
\n
• Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
\n
• A proactive, commercial and solutions-focused approach.
\n

Qualification as a Solicitor or CILEX Lawyer is desirable but not essential. Candidates with the right level of technical experience will be considered.
