Commodity Manager

The CompanyNigel Wright Group are working with a market-leading Manufacturer to recruit a Commodity Manager into their Purchasing Team.They will support hybrid working - minimum 4 days per week on site with the option of 1 day per week home-working.The OpportunityWorking within a small team, the Commodity Manager will have strategic procurement responsibility for a range of Direct commodities, remit to include:\n

• Developing commodity strategy - focusing upon Quality, Cost, Delivery
\n
• Commodity spend and supply analysis
\n
• Project management for NPI
\n
• New supplier sourcing, contract negotiations
\n
• Supplier performance management and review meetings
\n
• Deputising for Procurement Manager
\n

About YouThe successful Commodity Manager will have/be:\n

\n
• Directs' commodity management/procurement experience from within Manufacturing/Engineering background
\n
• Commodity management experience/contract management experience
\n
• Strong negotiation skills, confident to manage stakeholders both internally and externally
\n
• Commodity knowledge of plastic injection moulding, castings, packaging beneficial not essential
\n
• Experienced in cost analysis, commercially astute
\n
• Dynamic problem solver, able to work at pace
\n
• Ambitious, resilient, assertive and autonomous, able to hit ground running
\n
