Job Description

Prospero Teaching is seeking passionate and resilient SEN Teaching Assistants to join a range of SEN schools and Alternative Provisions across Southampton from September 2026!

    Providing personalised support to children with a range of special educational needs

    Assisting in the planning and delivery of creative, therapeutic, and inclusive activities

  • \n

    Promoting safety, emotional well-being, and positive engagement

  • \n

    Supporting pupils with daily routines, emotional regulation, and developing independence

  • \n
  • \n

    Building strong, trusting relationships with pupils, staff, and families through clear and consistent communication

    Contract Type: Full-time, with temp-to-perm pathways available

    Pay Rate: From £13.96 per hour

  • \n
  • \n

    Working Hours: 08:30am - 15:30pm (may vary slightly from school to school)

Requirements\n

To be considered for this role, you must:

\n
    \n
  • \n

    Have the Right to Work in the UK

  • \n
  • \n

    Hold an enhanced child-barred list DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to apply)

  • \n
  • \n

    Provide professional references covering the past 24 months, ideally involving work with children or vulnerable individuals

  • \n
  • \n

    Hold a Level 2/3 qualification in childcare, education, or a related field (or have relevant experience)

  • \n
