Job Description

Can you support a child with communication, independence and confidence as well as their learning?

\n

We're seeking dedicated Teaching Assistants to work within specialist education settings supporting pupils with a range of complex needs, including Autism, learning difficulties, sensory needs and physical disabilities.

\n

You'll work closely with teachers, therapists and support staff to help pupils access education in a way that works for them.

\n

Patience, empathy and a positive attitude are far more important than previous school experience.

Your responsibilities may include:\n
    \n
  • Supporting pupils on a 1:1 or small group basis
  • \n
  • Assisting with communication strategies
  • \n
  • Supporting sensory and emotional regulation
  • \n
  • Encouraging independence and social interaction
  • \n
  • Assisting with personal care where required
  • \n
Ideal candidates will have:\n
    \n
  • A caring and nurturing approach
  • \n
  • Strong communication skills
  • \n
  • Experience supporting SEN, care or vulnerable individuals
  • \n
  • A genuine passion for helping children thrive
  • \n
  • The ability to work at least 1-2 days per week from 08.30 to 15.30 (full-time roles also available)
