Join a specialist education MSP supporting a thriving secondary school\nWe're working with a growing Managed Service Provider that specialises in delivering IT support to schools across the UK. Due to continued growth, they're looking for a 2nd Line Support Engineer to become the primary onsite IT presence at a secondary school in Wembley.
\nThis is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience supporting UK secondary schools who enjoys combining technical problem-solving with providing first-class support to teachers, staff and students.
The Role\nYou'll be responsible for delivering day-to-day IT support across a busy dual-campus secondary school, acting as the main onsite engineer while receiving remote support from the wider MSP team when required.
\nYour responsibilities will include:

- Providing 2nd line support to staff and students \n
- Managing incidents, service requests and technical issues \n
- Supporting Microsoft 365 and Windows environments \n
- Administering Active Directory and Group Policy \n
- Managing devices using Intune and/or JAMF \n
- Supporting Windows Server and Hyper-V environments \n
- Troubleshooting networking issues including VLANs, Wi-Fi and firewalls \n
- Supporting Chromebooks, Apple devices and Windows desktops \n
- Maintaining school technology including smartboards and AV equipment \n
- Working with school systems such as MIS and Edulink \n
- Keeping documentation and tickets up to date \n
- Building strong relationships with teaching staff and school leadership \n
We're looking for someone with:
\n- \n
- A minimum of 3 years' IT support experience within a UK secondary school (this is essential) \n
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 administration \n
- Experience supporting Windows Desktop and Windows Server \n
- Active Directory and Group Policy administration \n
- Experience with Intune and/or JAMF \n
- Excellent troubleshooting and customer service skills \n
- Strong communication skills and confidence supporting non-technical users \n
- Experience working with school technologies including MIS, Edulink, smartboards and AV equipment \n
- Eligibility to obtain an Enhanced DBS \n
Experience with any of the following would be beneficial:

- SCCM \n
- Azure \n
- Networking including VLANs and managed Wi-Fi \n
- Firewall administration \n
- Chromebook management \n
- Apple device management \n
- Autotask \n
- Datto \n
You'll be someone who:

- Has worked as the primary IT support engineer within a secondary school \n
- Is comfortable working independently onsite \n
- Understands the demands of supporting an educational environment \n
- Enjoys providing excellent customer service alongside technical support \n
- Wants to build a long-term career within an education-focused MSP \n

- £29,000 - £33,000 depending on experience \n
- Permanent, full-time position \n
- Fully onsite role in Wembley \n
- 30 days annual leave (including Bank Holidays) \n
