The Role

We’re looking for an experienced Groundworks Site Manager to take full responsibility for the day-to-day running of our sites — from mobilisation through to handover. You’ll manage subcontractors and direct labour, liaise with clients and main contractors, and ensure work is delivered safely, to programme, and to specification.

Key Responsibilities

• Full site management of groundworks and civil engineering packages (bulk earthworks, foundations, drainage, concrete works, external works)

• Manage site teams, plant and subcontractors day-to-day

• Ensure compliance with H&S standards and site-specific RAMS

• Liaise with clients, main contractors, and the commercial team on progress and variations

• Manage site records, RFIs, and dayworks

• Coordinate deliveries, plant hire, and material requirements

• Report to Operations/Contracts management on progress and issues

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience as a Site Manager in groundworks/civil engineering

• SMSTS and CSCS (Manager level) essential

• First Aid at Work desirable

• Strong knowledge of drainage, foundations, concrete works and external works

• Full UK driving licence
