\n\nOur client is a highly regarded independent accountancy practice based in Hailsham with a strong reputation for delivering expert accountancy and tax services to owner managed businesses and individuals across Sussex. \n\nAs Client Manager, you will be responsible for managing your own portfolio of clients, overseeing the preparation and review of statutory accounts, acting as a trusted advisor and working closely with the firm's tax specialists to deliver an outstanding client service. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys autonomy, client interaction and being a key part of a close knit team.
\n\nKey Responsibilities
\n\nPortfolio and Client Management
\nManage a portfolio of SME clients across a variety of industries
\nBuild and maintain strong long term client relationships
\nAct as the main point of contact for clients, providing proactive advice and support
\nIdentify opportunities to add value and introduce additional services where appropriate
\n\nAccounts Production
\nPrepare and review statutory accounts for limited companies, sole traders and partnerships
\nEnsure accounts are completed accurately and in line with relevant accounting standards
\nReview work prepared by junior members of the team where appropriate
\nAssist clients with bookkeeping queries and accounting software
\n\nTax and Advisory
\nWork alongside the firm's tax specialists to deliver a seamless client service
\nLiaise with clients regarding corporation tax, personal tax and other compliance matters
\nProvide general business advice and support to owner managed businesses
\nAssist with ad hoc projects and advisory work as required
\n\nTeam Support
\nSupport and mentor junior members of the team
\nShare technical knowledge and assist with training where appropriate
\nContribute to maintaining high quality standards across the practice
\nWork collaboratively with colleagues to ensure deadlines are met
Requirements\nSkills and Experience Required
\n\nACA or ACCA qualified, nearly qualified, or qualified by experience
\nPrevious experience working within an accountancy practice
\nStrong experience preparing and reviewing statutory accounts
\nConfident managing a portfolio of clients independently
\nExcellent communication and relationship building skills
\nStrong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
\nKnowledge of cloud accounting software such as Xero or QuickBooks would be advantageous
Benefits\nThe salary for this role is expected to be between £40,000 and £50,000, depending on experience.
