Supported Housing Support Worker Location: BridgwaterSalary: £14.12 per hour + holiday pay or £16.52 umbrellaHours: Full timeContract duration: 4-6 weeks with scope for extensionAbout the Role We’re looking for a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our project in Highbridge.   • Build positive, professional relationships with residents, colleagues, and partner agencies.
  • \n
  • Support the day-to-day running of supported accommodation, ensuring high standards of service delivery.
  • \n
  • Assist residents with settling in, completing move-in documentation, and feeling welcomed from day one.
  • \n
  • Develop, implement, and review individual support plans that promote independence and personal development.
  • \n
  • Write and review risk assessments, ensuring risks are identified, managed, and regularly updated.
  • \n
  • Manage an allocated caseload, providing consistent, person-centred support.
  • \n
  • Support residents to build practical life skills, manage finances, and prepare for move-on accommodation.
  • \n
  • Lead or support group activities that promote wellbeing, confidence, and community engagement.
  • \n
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with safeguarding, confidentiality, and health and safety requirements.
  • \n
About You You are someone who values empathy, patience, and professionalism. You can stay calm in challenging situations and approach every person with respect and understanding.Essential:\n

  • Experience supporting individuals or working in a customer-focused environment.
  • \n
  • In-date, Enhanced DBS
  • \n
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • \n
  • Good IT skills (Microsoft Outlook and Word).
  • \n
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays on a rota basis.
  • \n
Desirable:\n
    \n
  • Qualification in youth work, housing, social care, or a related field.
  • \n
  • Experience in a specialist support area (e.g., mental health, education, substance misuse).
