Biogas Maintenance Supervisor

Astute's Renewables Team is partnering with a well-established business who own and operator their own anaerobic digestion plants, which provide both gas and electricity to the grid. Together we are recruiting a hands-on Maintenance Supervisor for their site in Worcestershire.The strategically important Maintenance Supervisor role comes with a competitive salary, bonus, healthcare and additional benefits packageIf you're an experienced Maintenance Engineer with supervisory experience and are looking to work for an established business within the renewable energy sector, then submit your CV to apply today.Responsibilities and duties of the Maintenance Supervisor roleReporting to the Operations Manager you will:Coordinate breakdown responses, ensuring the quickest possible resolution.Manage contractors, ensuring adherence to safe systems of work and risk assessments.Perform planned maintenance tasks, record corrective actions on the Shire system, and manage spare parts ordering and follow-up.Maintain strict adherence to Health & Safety policies.Oversee equipment repairs, refurbishments, and new installations/fabrication work.Complete timely and accurate documentation.Support ongoing project work and assist the operations team as needed.Ensure company policies and procedures are followed by all staff and contractors.Act as a mentor and role model for new team members.Act as a management representative in the absence of the Operations Manager.Other duties as requiredProfessional qualificationsWe are looking for someone with the following:A minimum of NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering or equivalentIOSH Managing Safely qualification.Experience operating HMI/SCADA systems.Full UK driving LicencePersonal skillsThe Maintenance Supervisor role would suit someone who is:Supervisory or management experience in a Maintenance/Engineering role on an anaerobic digestion plant or similar heavy processing environmentOver 5 years experience working in a hands-on engineering positionKnowledge of environmental permits, H&S issues and safe working environmentsExperience of managing budgetsDetail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills.An effective communicator, both verbally and in writing.Salary and benefits of the Maintenance Supervisor roleCompetitive salary depending on experienceCompetitive salary depending on experienceBonus scheme based on performanceCompany vehicleHealthcareOpportunities for professional development and career progression#LI-AR1INDRENAstute People are acting as an employment agency in relation to this vacancy.
