Trainee Caretaker (Late Shift)Location: BatterseaSalary: £31,784Hours: Monday to Friday, 1:00pm 10:00pmRed Rock Consultants are working with a leading school, based in Battersea, who are looking to expand their Estates and Maintenance team.You will carry out a broad range of estates duties including event setups, porterage, minor maintenance, security cover, statutory compliance checks, and general site operations. You will also act as a key holder and support locking and alarm response procedures.Benefits:Generous annual leave allowance (pro rata of 33 days plus UK bank holidays)Defined contribution pension scheme with up to 14% employer contribution and life insurance coverFree lunches during term timeSimply Health healthcare plan, including flu jabs, online GP access, and counselling servicesDiscounts with local shops, restaurants, and businessesOngoing training and development supportKey Responsibilities:Support the Estates Department in preparing and setting up school events in line with the school calendarMonitor and refill water dispensers across the siteDrive the school bysTake part in daily locking-up procedures and act as a key holderBe included on the emergency call-out rota for intruder and fire alarm activationsAssist with the maintenance and day-to-day operation of the school swimming poolCarry out Health & Safety compliance duties, including emergency lighting tests, legionella temperature checks, and weekly fire alarm testingMove, assemble, and dismantle furniture and equipment as requiredBe willing to drive the school minibus for operational dutiesCarry out minor maintenance tasks and support maintenance operatives when requiredUndertake housekeeping duties such as litter picking, rubbish collection, and assisting with paper deliveriesAssist with porterage duties, including delivery of post and parcelsManage recycling duties and contribute to maintaining a clean and safe siteRequirements:The right candidate will be reliable, practical, and willing to learn, with a positive, can-do attitude and a strong work ethic.No prior estates or facilities experience is required, as full training will be provided; however, you must be comfortable with hands-on work and happy to take on a varied role.Due to the nature of the business, a full driving license is required.
