Teaching Assistant

Tradewind Recruitment is delighted to be working with a friendly and welcoming primary school in Chester that is looking to appoint a dedicated EYFS Qualified Teaching Assistant to join their Early Years team from September 2026.

This is a part-time position, working Monday, Tuesday and Thursday each week, making it an excellent opportunity for someone seeking a better work-life balance while continuing to make a real impact in the classroom.

The successful candidate will support the class teacher in delivering engaging and creative learning experiences, helping children to develop socially, emotionally and academically within a nurturing Early Years environment.

• Support teaching and learning across the EYFS classroom.
\n
• Work with individual pupils and small groups to support learning and development.
\n
• Encourage children's independence, confidence and communication through play-based activities.
\n
• Help maintain a positive, safe and stimulating learning environment.
\n
• Support the class teacher with observations and assessment where appropriate.
\n

\n
• Holds a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification, Early Years qualification, or an equivalent recognised qualification.
\n
• Has recent experience working within an EYFS setting.
\n
• Has a good understanding of the EYFS Framework.
\n
• Is enthusiastic, patient and committed to helping young children thrive.
\n
• Works well as part of a team and builds positive relationships with pupils and staff.
