\nKent | Full-time (hybrid working) | up to £70k (depending on experience)

\nAn excellent university is seeking an experienced Head of Maintenance & Infrastructure to lead the operational delivery of maintenance and engineering services across a large, complex estate.
\nThe Role
\nYou will take ownership of both planned and reactive maintenance, ensuring the safe, compliant and efficient operation of all mechanical, electrical and building infrastructure. Leading multi-disciplinary teams, you will drive performance, compliance and value across the estate while supporting long-term asset strategies.
\nKey Responsibilities

- Lead delivery of planned preventative and reactive maintenance across the estate \n
- Ensure full statutory and regulatory compliance (H&S, engineering, building safety) \n
- Manage mechanical, electrical, fabric and energy engineering teams \n
- Oversee CAFM systems, PPM schedules and maintenance performance \n
- Control budgets (~£3.5m+) ensuring value for money and effective procurement \n
- Act as Responsible Person (e.g. L8, asbestos, PTW, SSoW) and Duty Holder for Gas \n
- Manage contracts, suppliers and service level agreements \n
- Drive continuous improvement, technical standards and maintenance strategy \n
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners \n
About You

- Strong leadership experience within Hard FM / Estates / Engineering environments \n
- Extensive knowledge of building services and compliance legislation \n
- Proven experience managing large estates and complex asset portfolios \n
- Skilled in budget management, CAFM systems and maintenance strategy \n
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills \n
- Degree (or equivalent experience) in Engineering / Building Services \n
