Finance Manager

We're recruiting a Finance Manager for our client in Huddersfield. This is a broad and varied role within an established, growing SME. You'll take full ownership of the finance function, working closely with senior management across the business. The role includes developing management information, improving reporting capabilities, and ensuring the finance function continues to support the wider business effectively. It's a hands-on position leading a small team. You'll report to the business directors, with the additional resource of a fractional CFO above you.Key Responsibilities:\n

• Full ownership of the month end process, delivering accurate and timely management accounts
\n
• Preparation of management information, reporting and financial analysis to support business performance
\n
• Ownership of cash flow forecasting
\n
• Business partnering with operational and senior management
\n
• Work to improve visibility of financial performance and profitability
\n
• Maintain and enhance financial controls, reporting standards and governance processes
\n
• Support budgeting, forecasting and year-end activities
\n
• Provide analysis and insight to support business decisions
\n
• Liaise with external accountants, auditors and banking partners
\n
• Identify and implement improvements to finance processes, systems and reporting
\n
• Drive efficiencies across finance and wider business operations
\n

The Ideal Candidate:\n

\n
• Qualified or qualified by experience accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
\n
• Previous experience in a Finance Manager or similar role
\n
• Strong management accounting and financial reporting experience
\n
• Experience improving financial controls, processes and reporting
\n
• Commercially aware with strong analytical skills
\n
• Comfortable operating within a hands-on SME environment
\n
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage with stakeholders across the business
\n
• Proactive approach with a focus on continuous improvement
\n

Salary & Benefits:\n

• £50,000 - £60,000
