Adult Social Care LawyerLocation: RemoteSalary: £50,000 - £55,000 per annum CRA Consulting is delighted to be working in partnership with a leading Local Authority who are seeking an experienced Adult Social Care Lawyer to join their Legal Services team on a permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced legal professional to join a supportive and collaborative local government legal team, providing high-quality legal advice on complex and rewarding matters that directly support the protection of vulnerable adults. Due to continued growth within the Legal Services team, the authority is looking to appoint a permanent Adult Social Care Lawyer to manage a varied caseload and provide expert legal advice across a broad range of Adult Social Care matters, working remotely as part of an experienced and collaborative team.

You will be responsible for managing a varied caseload of Adult Social Care and Community Care matters, including:

• Court of Protection proceedings
\n
• Mental Capacity Act matters
\n
• Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS)
\n
• Adult safeguarding matters
\n
• Providing legal advice and support to Adult Social Care teams
\n
• Public law advice and challenges to local authority decision-making
\n
• Preparing legal documentation, statements and applications
\n
• Conducting advocacy where required
\n
• Liaising with internal departments, external agencies, Counsel and other professionals
\n

To be considered for this opportunity, you will have:

\n
• Qualified Solicitor, Barrister or Chartered Legal Executive status
\n
• Strong experience within Adult Social Care law
\n
• Experience dealing with Court of Protection and Mental Capacity Act matters
\n
• The ability to manage a complex caseload independently
\n
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
\n
• Previous Local Authority experience is desirable but not essential
\n
