Planning Enforcement Officer
37 hours per week, Permanent Post
£39,844 – £43,992 per annum ( inclusive of £2,997 Distant Islands Allowance )
As Planning Enforcement Officer, working within the Development Management team of the Planning service, you will work across the whole of the Western Isles to investigate planning related complaints and breaches of planning control through to resolution in accordance with the Planning Enforcement Charter of Comhairle nan Eilean Siar.
\nYou should have previous experience in an ‘enforcement’, compliance or similar role in a regulatory environment.
\nYou should understand compliance approaches, including formal investigations, negotiation, enforcement protocols, timebound actions, structured records of actions and decisions, and relevant enforcement procedures and guidance.
\nYou will have strong organisational and communication skills with an ability to give clear verbal and written instructions.
\nYou must be competent in using MS Office suite.
\nThis role requires a full UK Driving Licence.
\nSalary for the above post is inclusive of Distant Islands Allowance. Appointment to the post will be on the first point of the grade.
