Your new companyA welcoming and inclusive secondary school in Sheffield is seeking an experienced SEND Administrator to join their team on an interim basis this September. This school is passionate about ensuring every student receives the support they need to thrive, and you'll play a vital role in helping that happen behind the scenes.Your new roleLove organisation? Passionate about supporting young people with additional needs?As the SEND Administrator, you'll work closely with the SENCO, students, parents, and external agencies to ensure SEND processes run smoothly and efficiently. You'll be the organisational powerhouse that keeps everything on track.
\nYour responsibilities will include:
\nProviding administrative support to the SENCO and wider inclusion team
\nMaintaining accurate SEND records and student files
\nCoordinating annual reviews and SEND meetings
\nLiaising with parents, staff, local authorities, and external professionals
\nManaging confidential documentation and reports
\nSupporting Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) administration
\nUpdating school systems and tracking SEND data
\nAssisting with statutory processes and compliance requirements
\nWhat you'll need to succeedWe're looking for someone who is highly organised, detail-focused, and able to manage multiple priorities in a busy school environment.
\nYou'll ideally have:
\nPrevious administration experience, ideally within education or SEND
\nExcellent IT skills, including Microsoft Office
\nStrong attention to detail and record-keeping abilities
\nExperience handling sensitive and confidential information
\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills
\nThe ability to work independently and use initiative
\nA genuine passion for supporting students with additional needs
\nA commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare
\nWe will need to be able to obtain references to cover the last 2 years as a minimum and you will need to be willing to undergo an Enhanced DBS check if you don't already have a DBS on the update serviceWhat you'll get in returnAs well as receiving a competitive rate of pay, this is an excellent opportunity to gain experience in an outstanding school.
