Reed Education are currently recruiting for a Science Teacher to join a specialist school in Kendal from September 2026 on a full-time, long-term basis, with the potential for the role to become permanent.This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young people within a highly supportive specialist setting.About the SchoolThe school caters for male pupils aged 7-19 who may present with one or more of the following:

• Autism and associated conditions, including ADHD and PDA
\n
• Mild to moderate learning difficulties
\n
• Complex needs and associated challenging behaviours
\n
• Multiple exclusions and previous placement breakdowns
\n
• School refusal and periods of time out of education
\n
• Previous admissions to CAMHS inpatient services
\n
• Specific learning difficulties such as dyslexia and dyspraxia
\n

The Role Full-time Science Teacher Long-term position with the potential to become permanent Start date: 1st September 2026 Specialist SEND setting in KendalRequirementsTo be considered, you must have:

\n
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
\n
• A Science specialism
\n
• Full-time availability from 1st September 2026 onwards
\n
• Experience teaching or supporting children with SEND
\n
• A clear Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one before starting
\n
• Willingness to complete Reed's compliance process promptly (if not already registered)
\n
• A reliable, passionate and proactive approach to teaching
\n
