Are you a technically strong Corporate Tax professional with Big Firm experience looking to step into a senior leadership role within a growing, independent firm?
\nI'm working with a highly regarded and expanding accountancy practice in Warrington that is looking to appoint a Corporate Tax Senior Manager or Associate Director to support the continued growth of their corporate tax offering. This is an excellent opportunity for someone currently operating in a Top 10 or larger firm environment, who is used to working with complex, large corporate clients and is looking for more autonomy, visibility, and a clear route to progression. You'll play a key role in leading the corporate tax compliance function, overseeing a high-quality portfolio of clients, and supporting the development of both the team and the wider service line.
Corporate Tax Associate Director Responsibilities\n- \n
- Managing a portfolio of large corporate and group clients, including both audit and non-audit clients \n
- Overseeing the delivery of corporate tax compliance, ensuring accuracy, quality, and adherence to deadlines \n
- Reviewing complex corporation tax returns and computations \n
- Managing group structures, including multi-entity and international elements \n
- Advising on and reviewing complex capital allowances claims \n
- Ensuring compliance with areas affecting large corporates, including:\n
- \n
- Transfer pricing awareness \n
- Corporate interest restriction (CIR) \n
- Debt funding and financing structures \n
\n - Managing client relationships and acting as a key point of contact for senior stakeholders \n
- Leading, mentoring, and developing a team of tax professionals \n
- Overseeing budgets, WIP, and billing, ensuring commercial efficiency across the portfolio \n
- Supporting workflow planning, resource management, and team organisation \n
- Working closely with Partners on technical matters and complex client issues \n
- Contributing to internal process improvements and maintaining high technical standards \n

- ACA / CTA / ACCA qualified (or equivalent) \n
- Proven experience within a Top 20 or larger accountancy firm environment \n
- Strong background in corporate tax compliance for large corporates and groups \n
- Excellent technical knowledge, including capital allowances and key corporate tax legislation \n
- Awareness of complex areas such as transfer pricing, CIR, and financing structures \n
- Experience managing a portfolio of sizeable, complex clients \n
- Confident reviewer with strong attention to detail \n
- Previous experience leading or managing a team \n
- Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities \n
- Strong communication skills and ability to build lasting client relationships \n
