Finance Manager

The OpportunityAn exciting opportunity has arisen for a Finance Manager to join a fast-growing, entrepreneurial business. This is a newly created role offering the chance to take ownership of the finance function, working closely with senior leadership to provide financial rigour, commercial insight, and strategic support.This is a hands-on position where you'll be responsible for everything from producing management accounts and cashflow reporting through to profitability analysis, forecasting, and business partnering. You'll play a key role in helping the business make better decisions and drive future growth.ResponsibilitiesFinancial Reporting & Management Information\n

• Prepare monthly management accounts, P&L reports and cashflow statements.
\n
• Produce monthly management information packs and financial performance analysis.
\n
• Deliver variance analysis against budget and prior periods.
\n
• Develop financial dashboards and KPI reporting.
\n

Financial Control & Systems\n

\n
• Maintain and reconcile accounting systems and ERP integrations.
\n
• Ensure accurate reconciliation across sales channels and operational systems.
\n
• Investigate and resolve financial discrepancies.
\n
• Drive improvements to financial processes, controls and reporting.
\n

Commercial Finance\n

\n
• Analyse profitability by customer, channel and product category
\n
• Support pricing decisions, commercial negotiations and growth initiatives.
\n
• Build and maintain budgets, forecasts and financial models.
\n
• Evaluate new business opportunities and support strategic decision-making.
\n

Compliance & Team Support\n

\n
• Manage VAT reporting and compliance requirements.
\n
• Lead year-end preparation and support external accountants and auditors.
\n
• Support and develop a small finance team member, overseeing credit control activities
\n

The Person\n

\n
• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) or qualified by experience.
\n
• Strong management accounting and financial reporting experience.
\n
• Proven experience working with accounting and ERP systems.
\n
• Confident producing management accounts and MI packs from first principles.
\n
• Commercially minded with strong analytical skills.
\n
• Excellent attention to detail and a continuous improvement mindset.
\n
