A firm of Chartered Accountants and Registered Auditors in Gloucester is looking for a Payroll, Tax & Accounts Assistant to join their friendly and supportive team.

The practice has built a strong reputation for providing practical, tailored advice to businesses and individuals. They pride themselves on getting to know their clients properly and helping them move forward with confidence, whether that’s through everyday compliance work or more strategic financial support.

This is a varied role that will see you involved in payroll, tax and general accounts work, making it a great opportunity for someone who enjoys a mix of responsibilities and wants to continue developing their skills within a professional practice environment.

The Role

Your day-to-day work will include a combination of but not limited to:

• Processing payroll for a range of clients
\n
• Ensuring payroll submissions are completed accurately and on time
\n
• Assisting with personal and corporate tax work
\n
• Supporting the preparation of accounts for a variety of clients
\n
• Maintaining accurate financial records
\n
• Liaising with clients to gather information and answer queries
\n
• Supporting the wider team with general accounting duties
\n

About You

The practice is looking for someone who:

• 2+ years UK experience within an accountancy practice
\n
• Good understanding of payroll and accounts processes and basic tax work
\n
• Is organised, reliable and has a good eye for detail
\n
• Is comfortable speaking with clients and working as part of a team
\n
• Enjoys a varied role and is keen to keep learning
