Due to continued expansion, they are now seeking an experienced Finance Manager to lead their finance function and support strategic business performance.The RoleAs Finance Manager, you will be responsible for:Coordinating the day-to-day financial management of the businessPreparing monthly management accounts and financial reports to support senior leadership and Board-level decision makingManaging ERP system compliance, ensuring financial data integrity and compliance with HMRC requirements, including VAT and CISCompleting monthly balance sheet reviews and key control account reconciliationsProducing and managing cash flow forecasts, providing financial insight to support business decisionsActing as a key financial contact for clients and stakeholders to support income generation and commercial performanceManaging internal and external audit processesIdentifying and implementing improvements to financial systems, controls, and reporting processesLeading, mentoring, and developing the finance team while promoting a strong Finance Business Partnering approach across the businessProviding meaningful financial and non-financial performance reporting, including sustainability and social value metricsDeputising for the Finance Director where required and representing the finance function in key business meetingsSupporting wider business and finance initiatives as part of continuous improvement programmesThe Ideal CandidateThe successful Finance Manager will have:Fully qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA or ACA)Previous experience in a Finance Manager, Financial Controller, Finance Business Partner or Senior Management Accountant roleExperience managing or overseeing a finance function and developing team membersStrong business partnering skills with the ability to support Commercial and Operational teamsExcellent technical accounting knowledge, including UK GAAPExperience preparing management accounts, cash flow forecasts, balance sheet reconciliations and financial reportingStrong analytical and data interpretation skillsAdvanced Microsoft Excel skills and strong financial systems knowledgeExcellent organisational, communication and stakeholder management skillsExperience within construction, engineering, infrastructure or another project-based environment would be advantageousWhat's on OfferCompetitive basic salary of £60,000 - £65,000Attractive benefits packageOpportunity to join a growing and financially stable construction businessSenior leadership role with genuine influence across the organisationLong-term career progression and professional developmentOpportunity to lead process improvements and drive business performanceSupportive and collaborative working environmentApply: If you're interested in this opportunity, then please get in touch today with our Commercial Specialist, Mark Harris.Building Careers UK specialises in Construction and Property recruitment and serves as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and an employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
