Job title: Break Fix Engineer - Laptop Hardware RepairDay rate: £200 per day - Outside IR35 / Limited CompanyLocation: Cannock, StaffordshireStart date: ASAPStandard hours: Monday to Friday 9am-5pmOverviewWe are seeking experienced Break/Fix Engineers to support a laptop refurbishment project. This role involves diagnosing hardware faults, disassembling laptops, replacing components, and ensuring devices are returned to full working order.Key ResponsibilitiesDisassemble and reassemble laptops safely and efficientlyReplace faulty keyboards, SSDs/HDDs, batteries, and other componentsDiagnose basic hardware faultsPerform functional testing following repairsMaintain accurate repair and asset recordsFollow ESD and health & safety proceduresEssential SkillsPrevious experience in laptop repair, refurbishment, or break/fix engineeringConfident working with a range of laptop manufacturersExperience replacing keyboards, storage drives, batteries, and other internal componentsGood attention to detail and ability to work to productivity targetsStrong understanding of hardware handling and ESD practicesDesirable SkillsExperience with enterprise laptop fleets (Dell, HP, Lenovo)Asset management or imaging experienceIT hardware certification(s)TPBN1_UKTJ
