Management Accountant (FTC - 6 Months Initially)Location: Wilmslow (3 days per week onsite)Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 (pro rata)Contract: Fixed-Term Contract - 6 Months Initially (Potential to Extend)Working Pattern: Monday, Wednesday and Friday onsite preferredHours: 8:30am - 5:30pmStart Date: ASAPThe OpportunityRobert Walters are pleased to be partnered exclusively with a Manufacturing business who are seeking an experienced Management Accountant to join the finance team on an initial 6-month fixed-term contract, providing cover during a period of sickness absence.The role will suit someone who enjoys ownership, pace, and the opportunity to enhance existing finance operations.Key ResponsibilitiesPreparation of monthly management accounts and month-end reportingDelivery of month-end close within a typical 2-day turnaroundPosting accruals and prepaymentsIntercompany recharges and reconciliationsProcessing central and Head Office invoicesManaging finance inbox queries and invoice processingBalance sheet reconciliationsVAT return preparation and submissionSupporting payments and general ledger activitiesAd hoc reporting and finance support tasksIdentifying and implementing process and control improvementsAbout YouProven experience in a Management Accountant roleStrong month-end reporting and accounting backgroundExperience with Sage 50Confident working in a fast-paced SME/manufacturing environmentStrong technical understanding of accruals, prepayments, and reconciliationsComfortable working independently with minimal supervisionProactive approach to improving systems, processes, and controlsQualificationsApplications welcomed from:(ACA / ACCA / CIMA)(QBE) with strong relevant experienceWhat's on OfferImmediate start6-month FTC with potential extension£45,000 - £55,000 (pro rata)Exposure to a varied, hands-on finance roleOpportunity to add value through process improvementRobert Walters Operations Limited is an employment business and employment agency and welcomes applications from all candidatesTPBN1_UKTJ
