Mechanical Design Engineer

Cure Talent is delighted to partner a leading UK manufacturer who specialize in the design and production of high-quality packaging machinery solutions for the medical device industry.We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join this companys engineering team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in mechanical design principles and will play a crucial role in designing and developing packaging machinery, automation equipment, jigs and fixtures to meet both company and customer requirements.Key Responsibilities:Deliver mechanical design expertise across the full project lifecycle, from concept, design, and build through to testing and commissioningDesign components, mechanisms, and assemblies in SolidWorks, producing detailed drawings, specifications, and Bills of MaterialsSupport procurement and subcontract manufacture, selecting suitable materials, components, and manufacturing methodsProduce and maintain mechanical and technical documentation, including Technical Files, Operator Instructions, and Maintenance InstructionsEnsure projects meet performance, quality, regulatory, Health and Safety, and continuous improvement requirementsWhat Were Looking For:Experience in designing packaging or automation equipmentDegree in Design, Engineering, or a related fieldExperience working with medical packaging and/or medical devicesStrong proficiency in SolidWorks (or similar CAD software)Understanding of engineering and workshop machineryIf this sounds like you and you would thrive in a collaborative, fast paced medical device engineering environment, we would love to hear from you.TPBN1_UKTJ
