\n This is an opportunity to take ownership of a growing data governance function within a business undergoing a major data transformation. You will play a central role in shaping governance frameworks, implementing new tooling, and enabling better, more trusted use of data across the organisation.\n
\n
\n ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:\n
\n
\n The Data Governance Lead will:\n
\n
    \n
  • Lead the implementation of a new data governance platform, owning the process end to end
    • \n
  • Develop and embed data governance frameworks, standards and best practices
    • \n
  • Establish and drive data ownership and stewardship models across the organisation
    • \n
  • Define and implement data contracts to support reliable data product development
    • \n
  • Lead data lineage initiatives, mapping flows from source systems to reporting layers
    • \n
  • Support data compliance activities, including GDPR requests, data retention and governance controls
    • \n
  • Assess and improve data governance maturity against recognised frameworks
    • \n
  • Engage and influence stakeholders across both technical and non technical teams
    • \n
  • Contribute to the evolution of the governance function, with potential for future line management responsibility
    • \n

\n YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:\n
\n
\n The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:\n
\n
    \n
  • Strong commercial experience in data governance within a modern data environment
    • \n
  • Proven expertise in data lineage and understanding of end to end data flows
    • \n
  • Solid knowledge of data compliance and GDPR principles
    • \n
  • Experience implementing or managing data governance tools such as Collibra or Informatica
    • \n
  • Understanding of data products and data contracts is advantageous
    • \n
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
    • \n
  • Comfortable working autonomously and taking ownership of key initiatives
    • \n
