Temporary Porter

Purpose of the Role

The Temporary Porter is responsible for providing a professional and efficient service to support the day-to-day operations of the organisation. The role involves moving furniture, equipment, deliveries, and supplies, setting up rooms and event spaces, maintaining cleanliness in designated areas, and assisting with general facilities duties as required.

The successful candidate will be reliable, physically fit, customer-focused, and able to work flexibly in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Transport furniture, equipment, and supplies safely across the site.

• Assist with office relocations, room moves, and workspace reconfigurations.
\n
• Set up and dismantle meeting rooms, conference facilities, and event spaces.
\n
• Receive, unload, and distribute deliveries and parcels.
\n
• Assist with waste collection, recycling, and disposal in accordance with company procedures.
\n
• Carry out routine checks of communal areas and report any maintenance issues or hazards.
\n
• Support facilities and maintenance teams with general operational tasks.
\n
• Ensure storage areas are kept clean, organised, and safe.
\n
• Respond promptly to requests from staff and management.
\n
• Adhere to all health and safety policies, including manual handling procedures.
\n
• Assist with emergency procedures and business continuity activities when required.
\n
• Undertake any other reasonable duties consistent with the role.
