Press Brake Operator

Connect Appointments have a new opportunity within the Livingston area for a Press Brake Operator to join our client's growing team on a permanent basis!

Pay rate: 13 to 15 per hour

Working as a Press Brake Operator your duties will include:

\n
• Select appropriate tooling, dies, and punches for each job
\n
• Measure and inspect completed parts to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications
\n
• Make necessary adjustments to the machine settings to achieve desired results
\n
• Setting up and operating the press brake machine to bend, shape, and form metal sheets as per engineering drawings and specifications
\n
• Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that may arise during the production process
\n
• Adhere to all safety guidelines and regulations to maintain a safe working environment
\n
• Perform routine maintenance on the press brake machine to ensure its optimal performance
\n

To be successful you will ideally have proven experience as a Press Brake Operator within a manufacturing environment, preferably in the metal fabrication industry. Combined with:

• Proficient in setting up and operating brake press machinery
\n
• Strong knowledge of metalworking techniques, tool, and equipment
\n
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
\n
• Excellent mathematical and measurement skills
\n
• Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy
\n
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
\n
• Ability to work in dependently and as part of a team
\n
• Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects when required
\n
