Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of secured work, they are now looking to recruit an experienced Quantity Surveyor / Estimator to join their commercial team in Altrincham.The RoleAs Quantity Surveyor / Estimator, you will be responsible for:Preparing competitive estimates and tender submissions for commercial fit-out and refurbishment projectsProducing detailed quantity take-offs and cost plans from drawings and specificationsProcuring subcontractors and obtaining competitive supplier quotationsManaging the commercial aspects of projects from tender stage through to final accountPreparing interim valuations, applications for payment, variations, and final accountsProducing CVRs, cost reports, and commercial forecastsIdentifying commercial risks and value engineering opportunitiesWorking closely with Directors, Project Managers, and Site Teams to ensure successful project deliveryBuilding and maintaining strong relationships with clients, consultants, suppliers, and subcontractorsSupporting successful project handovers from pre-construction into deliveryThe Ideal CandidateThe successful Quantity Surveyor / Estimator will have:Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor, Estimator, or in a combined QS/Estimator role within the construction industryExperience within commercial fit-out, refurbishment, design & build, or specialist contractingStrong commercial awareness and estimating abilityExperience preparing valuations, variations, and final accountsExcellent understanding of construction methods, procurement, and cost controlGood knowledge of JCT contractsStrong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skillsExcellent Microsoft Excel and IT skillsA proactive and commercially focused approachFull UK Driving LicenceWhat's on OfferCompetitive basic salary of £55,000 - £65,000Attractive benefits packageOpportunity to join a growing and ambitious fit-out contractorExposure to a diverse range of commercial fit-out and refurbishment projectsLong-term career progression within an expanding businessOngoing professional development and trainingSupportive and collaborative working environmentApply: If you're interested in this opportunity, then please get in touch today with our Commercial Specialist, Mark Harris.Building Careers UK specialises in Construction and Property recruitment and serves as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and an employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
