Automation Support Engineer - BellshillLocation: BellshillHours: 40 hours per week, Monday - FridayAt Mller Milk & Ingredients, we are committed to developing our systems and our people to improve site automation performance. We are now looking for an experienced Automation Support Engineer to join our Bellshill site, playing a key role in delivering effective, reliable automation systems that create real value across the business.This role combines hands-on technical expertise with continuous improvement, coaching, and collaboration with our central automation teams.Your Key ResponsibilitiesProvide reactive support for automation issues, following clear escalation routesApply structured problem-solving techniques to identify root causes and deliver sustainable solutionsSupport and deliver minor automation Capex projects across the full lifecycleContribute to site projects that include automation elementsFacilitate site activities for centrally delivered automation and Capex projectsSystems, Standards & PerformanceMaintain and manage automation and electrical systems, including software and version controlEnsure compliance with Mller group automation and electrical standardsWork closely with the central Automation Development team to support standardisation and continuous improvementOwn and manage site-level automation obsolescence plans, ensuring alignment with group strategiesLead panel risk assessments, site health checks, and follow-up improvement actionsAnalyse performance data to drive Operational Excellence and improve production efficiencyValidate and analyse site data to support quality and performance improvementsPeople, Coaching & CollaborationCoach and mentor colleagues to build automation capability across the siteShare best practice and technical knowledge across the wider businessWork collaboratively with internal stakeholders and central teams to deliver improvementsSupport on-the-job training and development of engineering colleaguesYour Mller ResponsibilitiesActively contribute to continuous improvement and Operational Excellence initiativesSupport delivery of site roadmaps (Quality, Health & Safety, Engineering, and Autonomous Maintenance)Identify opportunities to improve systems, processes, and performanceUnderstand the impact of your work on site and business performanceWhat We're Looking ForProven automation and electrical fault-finding skillsExperience in a similar Automation Engineer / Support roleFMCG or manufacturing experience preferredAbility to work independently and manage projectsStrong analytical and structured problem-solving skillsConfident working in a fast-paced production environmentGood IT and systems knowledgeBenefitsCompetitive salary + up to 10% annual bonusHealthcare cover4x life assurancePension schemeMller rewards platform (discounts across major retailers)33 days holiday (including bank holidays)Ongoing training and development opportunitiesSupportive and collaborative working environmentAt Mller, we're committed to creating an inclusive workplace where everyone feels they belong.
