Your new role
\n As a Senior Legal Advisor, you will play a key role within the Employment Team, providing expert employment law advice and representation to members, representatives and officials responsibilities will include:

\n
• Providing high-quality advice and representation on employment and industrial law matters.
\n
• Assessing applications for legal assistance and advising on the merits of potential Employment Tribunal claims.
\n
• Supporting officials with employment casework and industrial relations issues.
\n
• Preparing and managing Employment Tribunal cases from inception through to conclusion.
\n
• Overseeing cases conducted by external panel solicitors.
\n
• Supervising and supporting Employment Law Advisors within the team.
\n
• Supporting senior stakeholders with complex casework and legal advice as required.
\n

What you'll need to succeed
\n To be successful in this role, you will be a qualified Solicitor, Barrister or CILEX professional, or be qualified by experience with a strong background in employment law will also have:

\n
• Experience advising and representing clients in Employment Tribunal matters.
\n
• Advocacy experience or a willingness to undertake tribunal advocacy.
\n
• Strong knowledge of employment law and employment tribunal procedures.
\n
• The ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
\n
• Experience supervising or supporting junior colleagues would be advantageous.
\n
