\nWe are seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable IT Foundation Lecturer to join a thriving Further Education college in Harrow. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced lecturer, teacher, or industry professional with a passion for supporting learners to develop their IT knowledge, digital skills, and confidence.
\nThe successful candidate will deliver engaging and inclusive lessons to Foundation and Entry Level learners, creating a positive learning environment that supports achievement, progression, and employability.
Key Responsibilities\n- \n
- Plan and deliver engaging IT lessons to Foundation and Entry Level learners. \n
- Teach a range of IT topics, including Digital Skills, Microsoft Office, Online Safety, Computing Fundamentals, and Employability Skills. \n
- Adapt teaching strategies and resources to meet the needs of learners with varying abilities, including SEND and EHCP students. \n
- Monitor, assess, and track learner progress, providing timely feedback and support. \n
- Develop and implement individualised learning strategies to help learners achieve their goals. \n
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, progress, and achievement in line with college requirements. \n
- Promote positive behaviour, learner engagement, and inclusivity within the classroom. \n
- Work collaboratively with Learning Support Assistants, curriculum teams, parents/carers, and external agencies where appropriate. \n
- Contribute to quality assurance processes and continuous improvement within the department. \n
- Ensure all teaching and learning activities comply with safeguarding, equality, diversity, and health and safety policies. \n

- Experience teaching IT, Computing, Digital Skills, or related subjects within Further Education, Secondary Education, or Adult Learning. \n
- Strong classroom management and communication skills. \n
- Experience supporting learners with additional learning needs, including SEND. \n
- Ability to differentiate lessons to support learners of varying abilities and learning styles. \n
- Strong organisational skills and ability to maintain accurate learner records. \n
- Knowledge of current teaching, learning, and assessment practices. \n
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting learner wellbeing. \n
- \n
- Relevant IT qualification (Level 3 or above). \n
- Teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, DTLLS, or equivalent) or willingness to work towards one. \n
- GCSE English and Maths (Grade C/4 or above) or equivalent. \n
- Experience within Further Education is desirable but not essential. \n
