Role Type: Contract

Length: Short-term 2 weeks initial

Location: Birmingham (2 days in onsite)

We are looking for an experienced Test Manager to support a short-term pensions data ingestion project. You will lead the set-up of the test environment and define the test approach for importing calculation scheme data from Excel into a pensions platform, ensuring the data is accurate, complete and reliable for reporting and faster pension calculations.

Responsibility:

• Lead test environment readiness within a two-week delivery window.
\n
• Define and document the test approach for Excel-based data ingestion.
\n
• Identify test data needs, dependencies, risks and environment constraints.
\n
• Coordinate testing activity across technical teams, data specialists and business stakeholders.
\n
• Support preparation for system, integration, data validation and UAT activity.
\n
• Set up clear defect management, reporting and escalation processes.
\n

Key Experience:

\n
• Proven Test Manager experience across data ingestion, migration, integration or platform implementation projects.
\n
• Strong knowledge of test planning, environment set-up, governance, defect management and stakeholder reporting.
\n
• Experience validating Excel-based source data moving into enterprise platforms.
\n
• Ability to assess data quality, reconciliation requirements and acceptance criteria.
\n
• Confident communicator, able to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
\n
• Comfortable working at pace in a short, focused engagement.
\n
• Previous experience in pensions, financial services, actuarial or regulated environments desirable.
\n
