Part-Time Health & Safety Coordinator

1-2 Days Per Week

An established and growing business is seeking an experienced Health & Safety Coordinator to support and maintain its health and safety management systems on a part-time basis.

\n

This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive health and safety professional looking for flexible working hours while making a real impact on workplace safety and compliance.

The Role

\n

Working closely with management and employees across the business, you will help ensure compliance with UK health and safety legislation, promote a positive safety culture, and support the continuous improvement of health and safety standards.

\n

Key Responsibilities

    \n
  • Monitor compliance with health and safety legislation and internal procedures.
  • \n
  • Conduct workplace inspections and audits, identifying potential hazards and recommending improvements.
  • \n
  • Assist with risk assessments, safe systems of work, and method statements.
  • \n
  • Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, supporting the implementation of corrective actions.
  • \n
  • Maintain health and safety records, documentation, and training registers.
  • \n
  • Support health and safety inductions and toolbox talks.
  • \n
  • Promote safe working practices throughout the organisation.
  • \n
  • Assist with emergency preparedness, fire safety, and first aid arrangements.
  • \n
  • Support external audits and inspections.
  • \n
  • Provide practical health and safety advice and guidance to managers and employees.
  • \n

About You

\n

To be successful in this role, you will have:

\n
    \n
  • Previous experience within a health and safety position.
  • \n
  • Good knowledge of UK health and safety legislation.
  • \n
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • \n
  • The ability to work independently and effectively manage priorities.
  • \n
  • Competent Microsoft Office skills.
  • \n
\n

Desirable

\n
    \n
  • Experience working with ISO 45001 management systems.
  • \n
  • Experience delivering health and safety training.
  • \n
  • Background within manufacturing, engineering, industrial, or similar environments.
  • \n
