Reliability Engineer

Based in Carlton, Barnsley, S71 3HF - The home of Mr KiplingSalary - up to £55,000 per annumPermanent, Full time (39 hours per week)A full time, permanent opportunity has arisen at our Barnsley site for a Reliability Engineer to join the team. You will be responsible for determining and providing the correct maintenance strategy for the site equipment; this involves optimising preventative and proactive maintenance against reliability and cost objectives.What you will be doing:Produce and optimise a timely and deliverable cost effective maintenance programme for your manufacturing function to optimise the reliability of all electrical and mechanical assetsAct as the lead for escalating maintenance or breakdown support from OEM'sSupport the engineering and manufacturing functions ensuring maximum utilisation of engineering equipment in order to achieve KPIs and optimal line efficiency within the company safety, quality & environmental policies.Ensure effective maintenance plans (including technical docs, Maintenance Operating Procedures), in the delivery of the Site Capital PlanSupport future CAPEX plan development through analysis of machine obsolescence programmeWhat we need from you:Strong functional knowledge of Mechanical, Electrical and Automation maintenance and be able to demonstrate detailed knowledge of Bakery (mixing /depositing / ovens / packing) & Process equipment.Understanding of Original Equipment Manufacturer Asset Care guidanceA broad knowledge of the asset care systems and be able to demonstrate strong organisational/planning skills relevant to planning overhaul activity and machine upgradesAble to demonstrate the use of problem solving tools and techniquesEffective communication skills at all levels with the ability to influence and lead groups directly and indirectlyDemonstrated experience in analysing complex operational issuesWhat we offer in return:Salary up to £55,000 per annumShifts Monday - Friday 08:30 - 17:00 (need to be flexible around business requirements)Up to 7.5% pension contributionLife assuranceStaff discount shop on siteFree on site parkingAccess to "The Hamper", with discounts at hundreds of nationwide retailers25 days annual leave plus bank holidaysEmployee Assistance Programme, Occupational Health and Other Health & Wellbeing BenefitsSharesave SchemeAt Premier foods we believe in inclusion, authenticity and individuality.
