Technical and Projects ManagerPermanent£55,000 + Car AllowanceBirmingham (Hybrid Working)Hamilton Woods Associates are currently recruiting for a Technical and Projects Manager to join a leading housing provider. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced technical professional to oversee complex repairs, refurbishment projects and quality assurance, ensuring works are delivered safely, to a high standard and in line with contractual and regulatory requirements.Responsibilities of the Technical and Projects Manager:Undertake technical inspections, pre and post inspections, and quality assurance checks across repairs, voids and refurbishment worksProvide clerk of works oversight, ensuring contractor workmanship meets specifications and quality standardsPrepare scopes of work, specifications, schedules and technical reportsManage complex repairs, disrepair cases, damp and mould investigations, and insurance-related worksMonitor contractor performance, programme delivery, health and safety compliance, and value for moneyIdentify defects and technical issues, ensuring they are resolved efficientlyCoordinate minor projects and refurbishment works from inception through to completionAttend site meetings, contractor meetings and project reviews, providing technical guidance and progress updatesEnsure works comply with CDM Regulations, health and safety legislation, and organisational proceduresWork collaboratively with internal teams, consultants and contractors to deliver high-quality property servicesEssential Experience of the Technical and Projects Manager:Experience within a technical surveying, clerk of works, repairs inspection or construction quality assurance roleStrong knowledge of residential building construction, building pathology and diagnosing property defectsExperience preparing specifications, scopes of work and technical reportsExperience overseeing contractors and ensuring works are completed to specificationKnowledge of responsive repairs, voids, refurbishment works and minor projectsExperience managing complex repairs, damp and mould, disrepair or specialist property inspectionsGood understanding of CDM Regulations, health and safety legislation and contractor managementRelevant qualification in Building Surveying, Construction, Property or a related disciplineFull UK Driving LicenceTo be considered for this exciting role, please contact Alice Wright - Senior Recruitment Consultant at Hamilton Woods or apply online with a covering note outlining your experience and suitability, referencing the job ID number.
