With a focus on professionalism, integrity, and client care, were proud of our collaborative and supportive working environment.We are currently looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Legal Cashier to join our busy Accounts Department . This role offers flexibility, a hybrid working pattern, and the opportunity to work within a close-knit team that plays a vital role in the daily operation of the firm.The Role:This is a varied and hands-on role in which youll be responsible for a range of financial and accounts-related duties. Youll ensure compliance with Solicitors Accounts Rules (SAR) and provide support across all aspects of client and office transactions.Key Responsibilities:Accurately process financial transactions in accordance with SARConduct daily and monthly bank reconciliationsHandle and allocate incoming payments, process outgoing payments (BACS, CHAPS, Faster Payments)Maintain and update client and office accountsRespond to cashiering queries in a timely and professional mannerMaintain the purchase ledger and ensure accurate financial postingsSupport month-end and year-end proceduresAssist with billing and internal transfersTake card payments over the phone and record appropriatelySupport other areas of the accounts team during absences (holiday, sickness, etc.)Maintain high standards of client care and internal serviceOccasional travel to our other offices across the East Midlands to provide on-site support and maintain team connectivityAbout You:We are looking for someone who is:Experienced in a legal cashiering or financial/accounts roleKnowledgeable in Solicitors Accounts Rules (SAR)Highly organised and attentive to detailA clear and confident communicator (both written and verbal)Comfortable using legal accounting and case management systems (experience with Action Step or similar is desirable)Proactive, adaptable, and able to meet deadlines under pressureFriendly, team-oriented, and committed to delivering excellent serviceQualifications & Skills Required:ILFM qualification or candidates currently studying toward ILFM awards would be advantageous.Minimum GCSE Grade C/4 or above in English and MathsProficient in Microsoft Office 365 and ExcelPrevious experience in a legal, financial, or professional services environment is an advantageWhat We Offer:In return, we offer a supportive and inclusive working culture, along with:Competitive salary based on experienceFlexible and hybrid working optionsBonus schemeGenerous holiday allowance, including Christmas closurePension schemeLife assurance and private healthcareElectric car scheme, Cycle to Work scheme, public transport supportEmployee Assistance ProgrammeActive social committee and firm-wide eventsIf you are an experienced Legal Cashier looking to be part of a highly respected law firm where your contribution is truly valued, we would love to hear from you.TPBN1_UKTJ
