Part Time Prep School Administrator
Job Description
The Role
\nOn behalf of our client, we are seeking a Part Time Prep School Administrator. This is a pivotal role supporting a vibrant primary education environment.
\nReporting to the Head of Prep School, the Administrator acts as the first point of contact for pupils, parents, staff and visitors. The role combines front-of-house reception duties with newsletter production, club administration and pupil welfare support, helping to ensure the smooth running of day-to-day school life.
\nResponsibilities will include

- Greet pupils, parents, staff and visitors, manage enquiries and operate the switchboard. \n
- Produce and distribute the weekly Prep School newsletter accurately and on time. \n
- Maintain club registers, coordinate sign-ups and liaise with internal and external providers. \n
- Support pupil welfare by responding to queries, arranging extracurricular lessons and escorting pupils to the medical centre when required. \n
- Complete accident and incident records in line with school procedures. \n
- Sign pupils out during the afternoon attendance process and update relevant records. \n
- Notify the appropriate authorities of pupil movements where required. \n
- Organise parents’ evening calendars and related administrative arrangements. \n
- Promote child protection policies and support safeguarding compliance across the school. \n

The Person
\nThe successful candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to safeguarding and the confidence to work in a busy school environment. You will be organised, approachable and able to manage a varied workload with accuracy and discretion.

- Previous experience administration experience \n
- Experience of dealing with parents, pupils or customers in a front-facing environment. \n
- Experience of handling sensitive information \n
- Ideally experience of working in a school or education environment \n
The Hours
\n25 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 1:00 pm – 6:00 pm, term-time only.
\nThe Salary
\n£12,911 per annum, equivalent to £27,199 full-time.
