Job Description
Make a meaningful difference as a contract Occupational Therapist working with students ages 3–22 with a variety of abilities and needs. This opportunity places you in a dynamic educational environment near Moreno Valley, CA, serving diverse K-12 populations in full-time roles—including two year-round positions and one maternity leave coverage from August through March. Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Active California Occupational Therapy license required
- Previous experience in California schools, working with students ages 3–22
- Skilled in administering the BOT-3 and Peabody assessments
- Experience with mild to severe caseloads, supporting students with multiple disabilities
- Ability to navigate flexible and changing caseload volumes
- Strong assessment, consultative, and data-driven intervention skills to address parent concerns and inform service recommendations
- Capability to develop and manage your own schedule based on district needs with minimal supervision
- High likelihood of itinerant assignments; reliable transportation is necessary
- Bilingual Spanish skills are a plus, enhancing communication with families
Responsibilities:
- Deliver targeted OT interventions, both direct and consultative, to support educational goals
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and create data-based recommendations
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and related service personnel
- Adapt scheduling and service delivery in response to fluctuating student needs
- Travel between sites as required to provide services throughout the district
