Job Post Summary
We are seeking a Manufacturing Test Engineer to support the design, manufacturing, testing, and quality assurance of mechanical and electromechanical products. The role serves as a bridge between engineering and manufacturing by supporting production planning, developing manufacturing documentation, improving processes, ensuring product quality, and validating products through testing. The ideal candidate has experience in manufacturing engineering, test engineering, aerospace production, and continuous process improvement.
Job Roles and Responsibilities
Support manufacturing and engineering teams throughout the production process.
Assist with production planning and manufacturing coordination.
Interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, schematics, and technical documentation.
Develop assembly build books, manufacturing documentation, and work instructions.
Coordinate with customers and suppliers to resolve technical and manufacturing issues.
Identify opportunities for process improvement, cost reduction, and operational efficiency.
Design manufacturing fixtures, testing fixtures, and production equipment.
Recommend engineering improvements to eliminate manufacturing or system issues.
Support packaging and handling of finished products.
Evaluate manufacturing requirements for new projects.
Coordinate Manufacturing Readiness Reviews and Test Readiness Reviews.
Develop assembly travelers, test procedures, and quality documentation.
Create and maintain quality management processes.
Investigate and resolve internal and external quality issues.
Perform product testing using laboratory equipment.
Ensure products meet quality standards before shipment.
Prepare engineering documentation for completed products.
Qualifications and Certifications
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
2-10 years of manufacturing engineering or test engineering experience.
Experience in aerospace manufacturing or electromechanical product manufacturing preferred.
Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles.
Experience interpreting engineering drawings and GD&T.
Experience with CAD software.
Knowledge of production planning and manufacturing processes.
Understanding of quality control systems.
Experience creating manufacturing and testing documentation.
Familiarity with manufacturing test equipment.
Knowledge of manufacturing materials and surface coatings.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
