Physical Therapist - School Setting in Granite City, IL
Job Description
Make a meaningful impact supporting students K-12 as a Physical Therapist in a vibrant educational setting. This contract role spans the full academic year, offering the chance to utilize your specialized skills in school-based PT and serve a diverse student population. Work in close collaboration with educators and other professionals to provide comprehensive care and foster student success.
Qualifications:
- Valid Illinois Physical Therapist (PT) license required
- Professional Educator License (PEL) necessary
- Previous experience in a school-based PT role preferred
- Strong understanding of IEPs and the ability to tailor interventions for a variety of needs
- Exceptional communication and collaboration abilities
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct PT services to students across K-12, supporting mobility, coordination, and motor skill development
- Assess student abilities and develop individualized treatment plans
- Engage with teachers, families, and other professionals to coordinate holistic student support
- Participate in IEP meetings, contribute to documentation, and ensure compliance with district, state, and federal guidelines
- Utilize adaptive equipment and modalities as needed to promote student independence
- Maintain regular progress documentation and adjust therapies as students’ needs evolve
This opportunity begins August 10, 2026, and runs through May 21, 2027, Monday through Friday, 37.5 hours each week. Competitive compensation is provided, with weekly pay for added convenience.
