School-Based Physical Therapist - Clermont, Florida

Make a meaningful impact supporting students’ physical development and academic success in a dynamic school environment near Clermont, FL. This full-time, on-site opportunity is a contract role spanning the 2026–2027 school year, working with a diverse K–12 population (including some Pre-K) across multiple campuses. You will collaborate with a team of professionals and serve 2–3 schools each day, managing a shared caseload of approximately 94 students.

Qualifications:

• Valid Florida Physical Therapist License required
• Previous school-based or pediatric experience preferred, but not mandatory
• Strong ability to travel between multiple school locations each day
• Proficient in designing, implementing, and monitoring therapy goals for students
• Effective communication and documentation skills
• Commitment to working both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Completion of time-sensitive district credentialing, including onboarding and documentation (instructions provided upon offer)

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct and indirect physical therapy services for students in K–12 (some Pre-K)
• Evaluate students’ motor skills and design individualized treatment plans
• Collaborate with educators, families, and other therapists to support educational goals
• Maintain accurate records and participate in IEP meetings as required
• Provide itinerant services, traveling to assigned schools each day
• Support compliance with district policies and special education requirements

• The school district is actively interviewing for this role as of 7/21/2026
• Standard schedule: 7:30am to 4:00pm, Monday through Friday (30-minute unpaid lunch)
• Work closely with another Physical Therapist and PTA to share caseload and responsibilities
