Exciting OB/GYN Opportunity in Waterbury, Connecticut

We are looking for a Board Eligible (BE) or Board Certified (BC) OB/GYN physician to become a part of our dynamic practice in Waterbury, CT. Our team consists of four physicians and one midwife, with weekend coverage supported by other local providers. This practice is quite busy, allowing a new OB/GYN to begin with a full patient roster, ensuring a well-rounded experience in both obstetrics and gynecology.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver medical care related to pregnancy and women's reproductive health.
  • Conduct patient examinations and gather medical histories.
  • Screen for breast, cervical, and ovarian cancers.
  • Assist in delivering babies, whether vaginally or via cesarean section.
  • Address urinary tract and pelvic disorders, hormonal imbalances, and sexually transmitted infections.
  • Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests.
  • Develop treatment plans and refer patients to specialists and hospital programs as needed.
  • Maintain timely, accurate, and thorough patient documentation.
  • Work with Practice Management to ensure compliance with billing and coding standards.
  • Encourage wellness and health education among patients.
  • Robotic surgery training is advantageous, though not mandatory.
  • Participate in on-call duties with fellow OB/GYN providers.
  • Supervise Medical Assistants (MAs), Nurse Practitioners (NPs), Physician Assistants (PAs), and other clinical staff effectively.
