Physician - Gastroenterology/Advanced Endoscopy - Grand Rapids

Our organization is on the lookout for a full-time Advanced Endoscopist to become a part of our Gastroenterology Team in Grand Rapids.

• Work in a collaborative atmosphere that emphasizes professionalism, confidence, and teamwork.
• Practice in state-of-the-art facilities equipped with Olympus 190 scopes, utilizing Epic for inpatient and clinic visits, and Provation for all procedure documentation.
• Experience a manageable call schedule, with coverage expected every eighth week.
• Typically, the daily endoscopy schedule includes 14 outpatient procedures, while the inpatient census averages fewer than 10 patients, supported by APPs for inpatient consults, ensuring a balanced and sustainable workload.
• Act as a referral center for specialized care across Trinity Health West Michigan.
• Collaborate closely with the Lacks Cancer Center and the Cancer Center Network of West Michigan, receiving strong support from surgical oncology, medical oncology, colorectal surgery, and interventional radiology.
• Participate in educational initiatives through resident teaching and mentorship, aiding in the development of future healthcare professionals.

Qualifications:

• Completion of 4th year advanced endoscopy training is mandatory.
• Physicians must be board certified in their specialty or board eligible, with the expectation to achieve board certification within five years of becoming board eligible.
• A valid State of Michigan license is required upon employment.
• DEA license is necessary.
• BLS Certification is required, with ongoing recertification.
