School-Based Speech Language Pathologist | Olympia, Washington
Job Description
Make an impact supporting K-12 students as a dedicated onsite Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP-CCC) in the scenic areas surrounding Olympia, Washington. This contract opportunity puts you at the heart of special education services, working closely with students across a range of ages and backgrounds.
Roles are available in several locations including Mason, Grace Harbor, Pacific, Thurston counties, and communities in and around Olympia, Lacey, Tumwater, as well as those able to commute from Shelton, Raymond, and McCleary. Choose the schedule that suits you best: either full-time at four days per week (8.75 hours daily) or five days per week (8 hours daily)—please indicate your preference when applying for optimal placement.
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current Washington state licensure and Certificate of Clinical Competence (SLP-CCC) required
- Previous experience in a K-12 school setting preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to collaborate with fellow educators and families
- Comfortable working onsite in multiple school locations
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech-language therapy services for students in the K-12 population
- Conduct screenings, evaluations, and develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Document progress, maintain student records, and participate in IEP meetings
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and family members to maximize student outcomes
