School-Based Speech Language Pathologist | Gaffney, South Carolina
Job Description
Make a meaningful difference in students’ lives as a Speech-Language Pathologist on a full-time contract opportunity supporting K-12 learners. This position offers 37.5 hours per week of onsite collaboration near Gaffney, SC and provides the chance to use your expertise to help students succeed academically and socially.
Your work will focus on a manageable caseload of up to 60 (often 55 or fewer) students, providing direct therapy, progress monitoring, and valuable insights to faculty and families. Qualifications:
- Active South Carolina SLP license and Educator certification required
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Experience supporting school-aged children, K-12, in a school-based setting preferred
- Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills
- Ability to work fully onsite and build relationships with students and staff
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver assessment, diagnosis, and personalized intervention for K-12 students with speech and language needs
- Develop and implement individualized plans and therapy sessions
- Collaborate closely with special education teams, teachers, and families
- Maintain detailed, compliant documentation and progress notes
- Support students’ overall academic achievement and social/emotional development
- Foster a supportive, inclusive, and encouraging therapy environment
