Job Description

This contract position is ideal for those who thrive in independent, field-based settings and are passionate about delivering hands-on services to students with a wide range of disabilities. Assignments include full-time, full-school year positions and a maternity leave coverage anticipated from August through March. Working closely with students ages 3-22, you’ll play a vital role in conducting assessments, offering consultations, and collaborating with school staff and families to maximize educational access and student success.
Key Qualifications:
- Active California OT license is required.
- Previous experience in California schools is essential.
- Proficient administering BOT-3 and Peabody assessments for students ages 3-22 with varying disabilities.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret and use assessment data effectively to address parent concerns and support recommendations for services.
- Comfortable working independently with minimal onsite support; strong organizational and time management skills needed to build and manage your own schedule based on district requirements.
- Adaptable to fluctuating caseloads; caseload and evaluation needs will shift as they arise.
- Experience with K-12 students, including those with mild to severe needs.
- Bilingual Spanish skills a plus, though not required.
- High probability that these roles are itinerant, requiring travel between school sites.
Position Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive OT evaluations and ongoing assessments.
- Develop and implement customized intervention plans.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and family members to support students.
- Document goals, progress, and recommendations thoroughly.
- Deliver services in both one-on-one and group settings as appropriate.
